I'm located in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and predominantly work in 30A, Destin, Panama City Beach. I am also available for travel (yes, please!)
We meet at a predetermined location, and shoot for typically 75-90 minutes. The aim of these shoots is to be candid, not overly posed, and have fun! I will offer suggestions, help you not feel awkward, and guide you. You don't all have to be "on" the whole time. It's a great approach for babies and kids because we get to see their big personalities shine through. These shoots will leave you with a gallery that tells a unique story. You can expect roughly 50 photos on average to choose from. This is great for both families and couples. You can see an example of a family lifestyle shoot here.
Yes, I do! I love documenting your big moments! I shoot my portraits in more of a lifestyle format. This means a balance between your more traditional portrait style and organic naturally posed moments.
All photos that you see are edited. While I am a huge fan of color, I like to only bring out the color that is there. I do not oversaturate or do sky overlays. And while I will help you look your absolute best, you will look like you! I personally do not like overly edited photos. I prefer natural and soft light.
I shoot my events like I shoot anything... I like things to be real, capture the emotions, details, and little in-between moments.. The photos will tell a story of the day or event. I may offer suggestions, but I don't overly stage anything.
If you're interested in a shoot, get in touch and we can talk talk about your unique needs. I used to list prices on my website, but found that it could be confusing. Many photographers will state that their prices start at $250, but if you read between the lines that only covers a 20 minute shoot... when all is said and done it can cost more like $1500. I am not judging their rates. I just think it is super duper important to be clear.
I believe in printed work, over a USB card that you will die in a drawer (and who knows if we will even use USB cards in 10 years, right??). With that said, I know that lots of people want digital files ( I did, too, before I became a photographer so I get it!). I aim for a balance between printed art and digital files. When you book your session, a 50% deposit is required. The remaining 50% is due on the day of the shoot. This cost covers the shoot, editing, a predetermined number of digital files, a gorgeous album that features the entire session, and a print credit to use towards prints, album upgrades, and keepsakes. When I am ready to present you with your gallery, we will meet in person or chat over the phone. I will show you your awesome gallery, and we can choose the photos and digitals that you would like. If you would like additional custom art and albums that is available for additional costs.
