Sessions are relaxed, collaborative, and intentionally unhurried. I'll offer guidance when needed, but I don't believe every moment needs to be posed. Some parts of a session may be gently directed, while others I'll simply observe and document as they unfold. My goal is to create space for genuine interaction, natural movement, and photographs that feel like you.

I'm based in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and most sessions take place outdoors in natural settings throughout the Emerald Coast. I regularly photograph within local state parks, preserved natural areas, private residences, and quieter public beach access locations chosen for their beauty, simplicity, and sense of place.

Sessions typically begin about an hour before sunset when the light is at its best. Limited travel outside the area is available and quoted separately.

Film first became central to my personal work—travel photographs, art projects, and images made for my print shop. The more I used it, the less I wanted to reach for my digital camera. I simply preferred the photographs I was making on film.

I have photographed digitally for more than a decade, and I still own and use a digital camera. Some projects are simply better suited to it. But film has become my primary medium because I prefer the way it renders people, color, light, and texture.

I believe people look beautiful on film. Skin tones feel natural and flattering, color has richness without looking overly processed, and the grain gives portraits a softness and texture that I have never been able to recreate convincingly with a preset.

There is also a different quality to the moments it captures. Because I am not making twenty nearly identical frames and selecting the most technically perfect one, the finished photographs often feel more alive—expressive, candid, and true to the people in them.

That does not mean careless or unfinished. Film can be beautifully composed and carefully finished while still retaining something organic and imperfect. Its grain, subtle color shifts, and occasional unpredictability keep the image from feeling overly perfected or synthetic.

In a visual culture increasingly shaped by heavy retouching and AI-generated perfection, I am drawn to film because it leaves room for texture, variation, and something recognizably human.

I do work with greater intention when every frame lives on a physical roll, but professionally, I do not choose film simply because it makes me slow down. I choose it because, after years of photographing both ways, these are the images I most want to make.

Your photographs are captured on physical rolls of 35mm film, then sent to a professional lab for developing and high-resolution scanning.

This is not quite the same as dropping a roll off at a one-hour photo counter and picking up a packet of prints.

Once the scans come back, I carefully review the full set, refine color and exposure where needed, crop thoughtfully, and make light retouching adjustments. Small temporary things like a blemish, bruise, or distracting object in the background can still be removed—because no one wants the perfect family photograph with a trash can behind them.

I do not heavily manipulate photographs or reshape people. The goal is to preserve the natural color, grain, texture, and character of film while making sure the finished collection feels polished and cohesive.

You receive the completed photographs in a private online gallery, where you can view the full collection, download the high-resolution files, share them, and choose any images you would like to print.

You are never ordering prints blindly. You see the photographs first.
