There is something fitting about photographing Mary Ellen on film.

Her work is rooted in preservation and transformation—taking antique textiles, worn fabrics, and forgotten remnants and turning them into garments with a second life. These images were made during a recent afternoon along the coast, documenting a small piece of that creative process.
