Last year I made a photo journal of some of my favorite shots from the Adirondacks. I probably looked at it more than any of you. It brought me immense joy. So here we go with another round of that from 2022 for my own personal reflection.

Read MoreIt’s coming up on two years since two beautiful wild flamingos flew into town, and I was lucky enough to see them on the beach! The event was really cool, and you can read the original story here.
For the quick version, we had Tropical Storm Cindy come through, which landed right near Alabama. When the storm cleared, two flamingos were spotted on Orange Beach. I saw it in the news, and contemplated driving over that way… but what are the chances I’d even see them?

We can create digital shops and art galleries so easily, with a minimal amount of overhead, investment, and inventory. One of my favorite aspects of my business is the print shop, and it’s where my photography business first began.

Since I had first gotten into photography, I had a huge wish list, and the mentality that I needed more and more to be a good photographer. Obviously my equipment is important, but something had shifted in me as I began to focus on my creativity and expression rather than what gear I had. I realized, a good photographer or artist really only needs the basic tools to create magic. How could I use what I already had to create an image in mind? This has put me up in trees and in all sorts of strange places to get a certain shot. Some of my most like photos were created this way.
