Moving Can Be Awesome, but Do This First

As you may know, I recently moved from upstate NY to the the panhandle of Florida.  It's a move that I had dreamed about for years, and still cannot believe that it actually happened.  I love palm trees, balmy air, and water that is so clear and blue that you question if it's real life every damn day.  To get here, I gave up a lot.  I made changes that were uncomfortable, and never looked back.  I'm definitely happy...

...but not because we moved.

There is a honeymoon period with anything big that you do, but it will eventually wear off.  Moving will not solve all of your problems, nor will it make you happy.

We still have the same issues we were dealing with back north.  Stress, money, sleep deprivation from our toddler who literally hates sleeping, all the mundane and boring tasks such as washing dishes and paperwork, and the biggest issue of all, whatever internal dimemas we were facing before we left.  It doesn't all magically go away because your body is on different coordinates.  You can never run away from yourself!

With that said, a move can be awesome and the best choice ever, but only if you also work on yourself and your needs.  Before we moved I spent about 2-3 years living on purpose, finding peace, nourishing my soul, and getting my priorities straight.  Do this first so that if you do move you can truly enjoy it!  You are capable of so much happiness!

Where would you love to live?
