Everyday Non-Toxic Skincare

Hi!

How was everyone's weekend?  The rain held off here, and I got in some really special QT with Ed and Bodie.  On Sunday we went for a bike ride, and then out to dinner.  We ended the evening with a walk and some gigantic ice cream cones.  I had the cappuccino chip (my favorite) in a chocolate dipped waffle cone because I believe in balance... ;)

I'll remind you all that I decided to overhaul my blog a month or so ago in an effort to connect more and cover more aspects of my on purpose lifestyle.  This includes conscious beauty, holistic wellness, and movement.  I am a huge advocate for organic, natural, and non-toxic living.  It is essential for our health and the environment...

Friday Feels

Happy Friday from Florida!

We've had a beautiful week here, and are now heading into a rainy weekend.  I'm okay with that.  I like the balance of having some rainy days.  I'm writing this, quite honestly, exhausted.  Last night we were up from 3-6am, and I never got into that good recovery sleep.  I just made myself a little iced coffee in order to write this.  The struggle is real!

Live on Purpose 101

One day I realized that I was totally lost.  I knew I had more to offer this world, but couldn't quite put my finger on it.  I "had it all," yet felt like I had nothing I wanted.  I  worked for years to have the big degree, the great job, the beautiful home.  I worked out, drank green juice, practiced yoga...  why was I totally unsatisfied?  How could that be?

Have you ever googled "what should I do with my life?" I have.  More than once, too.

Manatee Adventure

I'm an animal person. If you are, too, you get what I mean by this. I LOVE animals.

I've seen manatees at Disney World, and have longed to see one on the wild for years. Little did I know when I moved to the Emerald Coast that they'd be in my backyard! For some reason I thought I'd need to be further south to really see them.

Flexible is Sustainable

Last week I spent a solid amount of time planning out content for the blog. I was feeling really good about everything, using new organizational tactics, and ready to rock and roll. Today's post was supposed to be a 10 minute destress and loosen up flow (I'm expanding the yoga content here), but then life happened.

Motherhood happened.

Disney World and Loving your Life

Hello from Disney World!

A little small talk first.

I've been a bit quiet on the blog and Instagram (sorry if anyone noticed) because we've been enjoying a week in Disney with the family. We've spent some time in the parks, lots of time by the pool, eating lots of food, and just relaxing really. Bodie had fun with his grandparents, which has been nice for me! He loved the Dumbo ride and Peter Pan the most. He's also been dancing up a storm with the live music and performances.

Motivation is overrated

Feeling inspired is so nice, isn't it? I have these days where I get so much work done. The problem is, unless I have a set deadline for someone, most of the time the projects I start are never finished which leaves me swimming in a sea full of stagnation and stress.  Lately I've been thinking a lot about this as I have a project that I want to publish, and make available for all of you. I just can't seem to get it done...

A Simple Stress Relieving Exercise

I couldn't sleep last night. I was in my bed, Bodie was fast asleep (for once!), and yet I was wide awake.  I couldn't relax my body. I felt so much tension and stress. Why? Well, I haven't done yoga in 4 days. I haven't meditated. I haven't made time to chill out. I've been working on my laptop until midnight for several nights in a row.  No wonder I was so stressed!

A quick relaxation exercise, which I am about to share with you, combined with a little deep breathing and I was snoozing... like magic!
