How to Start an Online Print Shop
Hey there!
Today we are going to talk about how to sell your photography prints online. I hope that this is helpful for you guys!
It is so cool that we are able to sell what we are passionate about to the entire world from our couches. We can create digital shops and art galleries so easily, with a minimal amount of overhead, investment, and inventory. One of my favorite aspects of my business is the print shop, and it’s where my photography business first began.
Signs it's Burnout
There was a time in my life where I could not figure out what was wrong with me. I was constantly exhausted, felt hopeless, anxious, and didn’t want to get out of bed in the morning. It sounds quite dramatic, but I felt doomed, and couldn’t understand how I could possibly feel this way after working so hard to achieve this life.
I worked a lot….
How to be an Influencer
Influencers. It’s become a full fledged career that so many are striving for, but last year the concept sent me RUNNING in the opposite direction.
I guess I lost sense of the true meaning behind being an influencer, which in my opinion essentially means that you have the position to create change in other people’s behaviors. There was so much frustration surrounding algorithms, people buying fake followers + likes, being constantly asked to work for free, always trying to gain more numbers… I felt really turned off by it to be honest. I can sniff out insincerity like a hungry shark, and it stank.
Resigning from the 9-5
I recently stumbled upon my letter of resignation sitting in a dark corner of my Dropbox folder. In some ways it feels like a decade ago that I submitted it, even though it was really just 2015.
You know how there’s this fantasy that writing that letter will be this amazing and liberating experience? You’re talking to your boss, and you’ve had it, and you just pull it out, and run out of the building as if you’re reclaiming your life?? (please tell me I’m not the only one who thought about that on the drive to work every single day for seven years).
Pulling Yourself Out of a Funk
Funks are a normal part of the human experience.
A sea of uncertainty.
Self-doubt.
Not loving your the life situation.
STRESS.
Disappointment.
Judgement.
Loneliness.
Hey, It's Been Awhile!
After taking a bit of a hiatus from blogging, I’m back and happier than ever to be here.
If you’d read my blog before, you may have noticed that things just look really different over here. And if you didn’t notice, no worries one bit. I’ve been so busy figuring out who I am as a brand and business, and to be honest, I got a little bit lost in that journey.
After Michael
I feel guilty. I feel so overwhelmed that I am sitting here, at my kitchen counter, drinking cold brew coffee, not too hot and not too cold, my son playing with his toys in his organic cotton pjs, the dogs sleeping quietly. My possessions are all in tact. My photography clients are still coming, and I’m still making money so that I can continue living.
We don’t have internet. That’s about it… in a way it’s almost nice.
A 30 minute’s drive to the east it’s a different story.
Print Shop News + Rebranding
Hey guys!
This week I put out a question on my Instagram stories asking what topics you’d like for me to cover on the blog. I got some great responses that I will be covering in future posts, but a few people asked me to talk about my new print shop. Since it just launched that makes sense, doesn’t it? But I think I need to start this post with some behind the scenes info. Stick with me here…
