You know what’s a bit wild? The fact that we are just about halfway through 2019 already. Is that as shocking for you as it is for me? It’s easy to look back at the goals we created for the year, and if they haven’t happened yet, feel really bad about it. To be totally honest, my year has not panned out the way I thought it would, and I’ve recently made a lot of changes. But you know the irony of all this? The actual ideas and the desires that I wanted are unfolding. It’s just the route I’m traveling is not what I anticipated. I feel really good about it, and love how life is full of these little surprises. I fully trust the process.

Bodie's Birth Story

Hey friends,

This last weekend my baby turned 3!  THREE!  We spent the day as a family doing things we love like going to the beach, and getting Bodie his favorite cookie (vegan oatmeal raisin) from Whole Foods.  It was very mellow, just the way we all like it.

In honor of Bodie's third birthday, I thought it would be fun to finally share his birth story.  I've wanted to share this for three years now, but I guess the third birthday is the charm.  If you're not okay reading about the messy truth of labor then I'd skip this one! I'm also sharing the few photos we shot with our cell phone, but don't worry, there's nothing messy about those! Phew.

A Simple Stress Relieving Exercise

I couldn't sleep last night. I was in my bed, Bodie was fast asleep (for once!), and yet I was wide awake.  I couldn't relax my body. I felt so much tension and stress. Why? Well, I haven't done yoga in 4 days. I haven't meditated. I haven't made time to chill out. I've been working on my laptop until midnight for several nights in a row.  No wonder I was so stressed!

A quick relaxation exercise, which I am about to share with you, combined with a little deep breathing and I was snoozing... like magic!
