Superfood Acai Bowl, Beach Style

I cannot eat enough acai bowls lately, which you know if you follow my Insta Stories.  Several of you have asked for the recipe, and now the wait is over!

Acai bowls are not only incredibly delicious, but they are beyond amazing for your body and mind, and I truly believe that combined with other positive lifestyle choices, can really do wonders for you. There's a million different ways to make one, but I have created a "go to" recipe that is simple yet packed with nutritional benefits.  I crave these, and notice that I have so much energy throughout the day when I eat them.

Bodie's Birth Story

Hey friends,

This last weekend my baby turned 3!  THREE!  We spent the day as a family doing things we love like going to the beach, and getting Bodie his favorite cookie (vegan oatmeal raisin) from Whole Foods.  It was very mellow, just the way we all like it.

In honor of Bodie's third birthday, I thought it would be fun to finally share his birth story.  I've wanted to share this for three years now, but I guess the third birthday is the charm.  If you're not okay reading about the messy truth of labor then I'd skip this one! I'm also sharing the few photos we shot with our cell phone, but don't worry, there's nothing messy about those! If Kale Isn't Your Jam, Eat This...

If you've been here for awhile, you know that I work really hard to eat well and live well most days... But I must confess something... I literally cannot stand kale (GASP!).  The only way I can eat it is juiced, but then hidden beneath yummy other juices like apple and lemon.  Kale is a dark green superfood, and basically the center of so many people's healthy eating.  It's also kinda trendy... have you seen all the adorable "Eat More Kale" gear?

Why I'm Done Pursuing Balance


It's hard to believe that the summer solstice came and went, isn't it? That's because life seems to fly by for all of us.  I was thinking about it... I have dedicated my entire life to intentional living, wellness, and pursuing happy.  Not only is it the front and center of my personal life, but my entire brand (which is really just an extension of my identity) focuses on this. So, achieving balance which is "essential" for feeling good physically and mentally, should be somewhat easy for me, right?
